Story

25 years ago, an energy source humanity could only describe as ‘magic’ was discovered. It could do anything, it could conjure heat or cold, power electrical devices, apply force, magic had mastery over energy as a concept. This energy source was not without a cost, however.

20 years ago, magic was discovered to have dangerous and unpredictable tendencies. Groups rallied to advocate for more care and regulation to be put into its research and use, but they were met with replies that these risks were worth taking. `humanity has taken its risks with nuclear energy, why should we stop now?` they said.

10 years ago, strange things begin to happen. Life seems to flee from animal and plant life, and mass panic begins to ensue.

Today, humans rely on cannibalism to survive. Some do it out of necessity, but many do it out of enjoyment or pleasure. Some people, like you, want to revive agriculture, but it seems that no matter how hard you try, it never works. Today, that changes.

Gameplay

Long Pig uses turn based combat with action command elements. Time your attacks to deal extra damage and press the action button in time with your opponent's attacks to block and reduce damage taken. Some powerful attacks can even be completely dodged with a button press.

Every enemy has their own attack strategy. Some like to attack a lot, some like to charge their attacks, some like physical attacks and some like magic attacks. If you can predict the types of attacks your opponent will do, you can expertly plan out your actions to win battles while conserving as much resources as you can.

Each weapon, rather than being a direct upgrade off of the last, is completely unique, with its own animations, skills and damage types. Some might be good at negating powerful attacks, like the sword, while others might be good at piercing armor, like the axe.
